Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Crash at 10100 Jensen Drive

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a fatal crash that occurred at at 10100 Jensen Drive about 11:40 p.m. on Saturday (Sept. 19).

The suspect, Brian Tatum, 45, is charged with two counts of murder in the 351st State District Court. A booking photo of Tatum is attached to this news release.

The identities of the female victims are pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Uribe and Officer R. Singleton reported:

Tatum was driving a white Acura RDX at a high rate of speed northbound on Jensen Road and fleeing from Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies, when the driver of a gray Honda Accord, traveling southbound on Jensen, made a left hand turn in front of Tatum onto Parker Road. Tatum struck the Honda, causing it to split in half. The Acura rolled over after the impact.

The two victims, sitting the in the back seat of the Honda, were ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Honda was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital with minor injuries. Tatum and his passenger were transported to Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital with minor injuries.
