Suspect Arrested, Charged in Assault at 1839 Jacquelyn Drive

Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the assault of three women at 1839 Jacquelyn Drive that occurred about 3:45 p.m. on Sunday (September 26).

The suspect, Roshanda Monique Black (b/f, 40), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and burglary with intent to commit assault in the 184th State District Court. A photo of Black is attached to this news release.

Three females, ages 64, 67 and 64, all suffered injuries. Two of the women were transported to area hospitals.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers R. Mendoza and M. Deleon reported:

Officers responded to a report of an assault at the apartment complex at the above address and observed Black attacking the victims. Officers detained Black and called for Houston Fire Department paramedics. One victim, 64, suffered lacerations to her forearms and was treated at the scene. A second victim, 64, suffered trauma to the head and a third victim, 67, suffered multiple stab wounds to the abdomen. The two women remain in stable condition at an area hospital.

Black, who suffered self-inflicted wounds, was transported to Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Center, where she was treated and released.
