Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the assault of a woman at 1114 Saulnier Circle about 6:20 a.m. on Saturday (August 3).

The female victim, 25, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition, with life-threatening injuries.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Dudley and Detective K. Heaverlo reported:
Detectives were made aware of a possible kidnapping incident at a residence at the above address. Detectives arrived at the residence and were told by a witness that the victim and a male suspect got into an altercation. The suspect then physically assaulted the victim. Fearing for their safety, the witness hid inside the home. Approximately one hour later, the witness realized the suspect and the victim were no longer at the location.
A preliminary investigation and evidence from the scene led to information on the whereabouts of the suspect and the victim. Both were found several hours later. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the female victim to the hospital and the suspect, identified as Santarose, was questioned by detectives.
After further investigation, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and Santarose was subsequently charged in this incident. He was then booked into the Harris County Jail.
