Houston police have released surveillance photos of two suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of a woman at 4718 Lockwood Drive about 5:45 p.m. on Friday (Dec. 13).
Surveillance photos of the males are attached to this news release.
The identity of the victim, 45, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Ponder and Detective L. Patterson reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at a convenience store at the above address and found a female unresponsive in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. She had suffered at least one gunshot wound. Paramedics transported the woman to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
Detectives learned the woman drove to the location with her husband as a passenger. The husband went into the store, where an employee asked him to leave. When he left the store and got back into the vehicle, an unknown male fired shots into the vehicle as it was beginning to leave the parking lot. The vehicle rolled a short distance and came to a stop. The husband exited the vehicle and ran. At that time, a second male fired shots at the husband. Both shooters then fled the scene on foot. The husband was not injured. Two other family members in the back seat of the vehicle were not injured.
Anyone with information on the identities and/or whereabouts of the two suspects is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or speak anonymously with Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
