Surveillance Photos of Suspects Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 2490 South Wayside Drive

Houston police have released surveillance photos of three suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another at 2490 South Wayside Drive about 7:25 p.m. on Monday (April 1).

The suspects are described only as adult Hispanic males wearing all white.  They were seen driving in two vehicles, a silver Dodge Charger and a silver Mercedes Benz.  Surveillance photos of the suspects are attached to this news release.

The identity of the deceased victim, 34, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  The other victim, 29, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives R. Waterwall and C. Vaughn reported:

HPD patrol officers and Harris County Precinct 6 deputy constables responded to a shooting call at a convenience store at the above address and found two men struck by gunfire.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported one man to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  A second man was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A preliminary investigation and evidence from the scene determined the two victims, along with two other men, exited the convenience store and got into a black SUV.  At that time, a Dodge Charger and a Mercedes Benz approached the SUV.  Two males exited the Dodge, one male exited the Mercedes Benz and all three fired multiple shots at the SUV.  The suspects then fled the scene.

Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or speak anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
