Houston police homicide investigators have released surveillance photos of a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 17557 Imperial Valley Drive about 12:15 a.m. on Sunday (Jan. 6).
The suspect is described as a black male, about 6 feet tall and weighing about 150 pounds. Two surveillance photos of the suspect are attached to this news release.
The identity of the victim, 29, is pending verification by the Harris County institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Horn and Detectives I. Ulloa, R. Pemberton and S. Spivey reported:
The victim, manager of a salon business at the above address, was collecting entrance fees from patrons because the venue was hosting a small concert after normal business hours. As the man protected the business, he was armed with a gun. An unknown suspect took the gun from the man and then shot him at least one time. The suspect fled with the gun and money he had stolen from the victim. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
