Houston police have released surveillance photos of a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 12300 Hillcroft Avenue about 1:10 p.m. on Sunday (July 10).
The suspect is described only as an unknown black male. Surveillance photos of the suspect are attached to this news release.
The identity of the victim, 30, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective J. Jorsch reported:
The victim was in a convenience store parking lot at the above address when the suspect began shooting at him. The victim had an infant in his car and attempted to drive away in his vehicle after suffering a gunshot wound. Shortly after, the victim lost control of his vehicle and crashed into several vehicles. Paramedics transported him to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The baby was not injured.
At this time, the motive in the shooting is unknown.
