Houston police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects wanted in the shooting of two females that occurred at 200 Tidwell Road about 6:55 p.m. on Sunday (June 4).
The suspects are described only as a black male and black female. Surveillance photos of both suspects are attached to this news release.
The female victims, 29 and 40, were transported to an area hospital with non life-threatening gunshot wounds.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective M. Deleon reported:
HPD patrol officers were flagged down at the above address after a shooting occurred on a Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) bus. Witnesses stated the suspects boarded the bus and an argument occurred about bus fare. The two suspects got off the bus and asked one of the victims to also get off the bus. The female did not get off the bus and the male suspect then fired shots into the bus through a window. Both females were struck by the gunfire.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the females to the hospital.
The suspects fled the scene, however the incident was captured on METRO surveillance video.
Anyone with information on the identities of the wanted suspects or in this case is urged to contact the HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division at 713-308-8800 or speak anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
