Houston police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a man at 6821 South Gessner Road about 1:10 p.m. on Saturday (April 16).
A surveillance photo of the person of interest is attached to this news release.
The identity of the male victim, 35, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Dudley and K. Heaverlo reported:
HPD officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators learned the victim was sitting in his wheelchair outside a business, having a conversation with someone, when an unknown masked Hispanic male approached and shot the victim multiple times.
At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
Investigators would like to speak to the person of interest pictured below.
