Surveillance Photo Released in Fatal Shooting at 6519 Thornwall Street

Houston police have released surveillance photo of a wanted vehicle in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 6519 Thornwall Street about 6:30 p.m. Monday (June 6).

The suspects, described only as four, young black males with their faces covered, were seen in a black or grey hatchback, believed to be a Toyota Prius. The vehicle has dark rims, and officers were advised at least one seat had a pink cover on it. A surveillance photo of the vehicle is attached to this news release.

The identity of the victim, 31, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detective L. Osborn reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Officers were advised the suspects approached a resident of the home at the above address and forced them inside. The resident told officers the suspects ransacked the home, encountered the victim (additional resident) lying in his bed, and shot him. The suspects fled the scene in the vehicle pictured below.
