WHEN: December 16, 2022 at 7:04 a.m.
WHERE: 3103 Collingsworth St. 77026.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $570,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $200,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation (intentional).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find smoke coming from a store. They made an offensive attack and ventilated the roof. A primary search was completed, and the utilities were secured. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin due to possible evidence found of a break-in and arson. Crews from Stations 12, 19, 34, 17, 27, 30, 39, 9 and 30 responded to this incident.
