WHAT: Small Plan Crash.
WHEN: Today, May 6, 2022 at 2:21 p.m.
WHERE: Near 8619 Heathglen, 77075
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters responded to the scene to find a small plane crash with report of four people on board. All those onboard self-extricated prior to HFDs arrival. No injuries or transports have been reported. HFD quickly extinguished a gazebo fire in the backyard of a nearby home. There were no fuel leaks, however HFD Hazmat responded to the incident. The scene was declared under control at 2:43 p.m. with 69 HFD personnel responding from Stations 36, 52, 26, 54, 70, 61, 93, 29, 24, 72, 94, 15, 33, Hazmat 22 and Rescue 42.
Residents are asked to avoid the area due to heavy emergency response.
