WHAT: Restaurant fire.
WHEN: October 18, 2024, at 11:56 p.m.
WHERE: 12900 block of Lila Ln. at 1700 block of Sheffield, 77015.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $141,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $55,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation (appears to be accidental).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the roof of 1-story restaurant with an exterior porch on fire. They made an attack on the exterior fire and controlled the utilities. The crews forced entry and quickly extinguished the remaining fire in the wall and drop ceiling. A primary search as completed, and the building was ventilated. CenterPoint was notified and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 32 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 23, 20, 45, 41, 42, 44, 53 and Rescue 42.
