WHAT: Residential structure fire.
WHEN: March 25, 2023 at 1:17 a.m.
WHERE: 9100 block of East Avenue Q, 77012.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $15,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within seven minutes and found a structure completely burned down with a nearby residential structure also on fire. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. Once the fire was controlled and extinguished, HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. The power company was also notified. Crews from Stations 23, 20, 26, 29, 42 and 40 responded to this incident.
