WHAT: Residential Parking Garage Fire

PROPERTY SAVED: $49,970,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $30,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within seven minutes to find smoke coming from the basement vents of a parking garage to a 12-story residential building. They made an attack and kept smoke from entering the tenant space. The lobby, elevators and sprinkler system were controlled. The crews extinguished the fire and contained it to a vehicle and the basement ventilation system. They removed the smoke and requested HFD Arson investigators to determine the cause and origin. Firefighters from Stations 8, 16, 7, 33, 28, 21, 2, 6, 3, 21, 17 and 24 responded to this incident.
