WHAT: Residential Garage Fire
WHEN: May 27, 2022 at 11:26 a.m.
WHERE: 8100 block of Braesdale, 77071
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available, however fire was contained to garage.
DAMAGE: $160,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find a fully involved garage on fire with smoke coming from the house. They made an attack on the fire and checked the home for extension. The fire was contained to the garage with only exterior damage to the house. As a result of the fire, the garage collapsed on two cars inside. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. Crews from Stations 28, 51, 73, 82, 21, 68, 10 and 60 responded to this incident.
