CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find a small fire in the kitchen, extending to the cabinets of a multifamily residence. They extinguished the fire and checked for extension. A primary search was completed, and the main breaker was turned off. Crews removed the burned material and the smoke with a fan. The occupant was advised to leave the power off until an electrician would inspect and fix any issues. Firefighters from Stations 59, 48 and 82 responded to this incident.
