WHAT: Residential detached garage fire.
WHEN: August 14, 2023, at 4:44 p.m.
WHERE: 13800 block of Lakeside Terrace Dr., 77044.
INJURIES: One civilian transported to the hospital for burns.
PROPERTY SAVED: $62,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $150,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (electrical).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within seven minutes to find a residential detached garage fully involved on fire. They made a defensive attack and checked for extension into the house. HFD transported a civilian to the hospital for burns. The crews extinguished the fire and requested HFD Arson investigators to determine the cause and origin. 32 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 23, 64, 102, 32, 56, 65, 105 and 30.
