Person of Interest Sought in Fatal Stabbing at 1221 Redford Street

Houston police are searching for an individual wanted for questioning in the fatal stabbing of a man at 1221 Redford Street about 10:50 p.m. on Thursday (July 28).

The person of interest, Jeanette Staton, 43, is not charged in the incident at this time. A prior booking photo of Staton is attached to this news release.

The identity of the male victim, 41, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Heaverlo and A. Dudley reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a stabbing at an apartment complex at the above address and found the victim being loaded into an ambulance by Houston Fire Department paramedics. The victim was transported to HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake, where he was pronounced deceased.

A preliminary investigation and witness statements determined the victim and a female got into an argument. Police want to speak to Ms. Staton about any information she might have regarding the argument.
