CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (electrical or mechanical fault in the engine compartment of vehicle).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes to find a vehicle on fire in the sublevel of a building parking garage. A sprinkler had activated and was containing the fire. They ventilated the garage and checked the tenant space for smoke and air quality. The crews quickly extinguished the fire and ensured the connecting tunnels remained free of smoke by setting up multiple fans. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause of the fire. A restoration company was hired by the building management to finish clean-up and ventilation after the investigation was completed. 54 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 15, 8, 19, 6, 7, 9, 16, 17, 18 and 30.
