Houston police homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating one of two suspects charged in the fatal shooting of a man at 4119 Reed Road about 10:05 p.m. on March 25.
The suspects – Ethan Jenkins (b/m, 23) and his brother, Eran D. Jenkins (b/m, 19) – are charged with capital murder in the 209th State District Court. Eran Jenkins is not in custody. Both men are accused in the death of Jon Whitfield, 43.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Detectives T. Andrade, L. Lovelace and B. Nabors reported:
Two suspects, at least one of whom was armed, forced their way inside the HKMG recording studio located at the above address and demanded money and drugs. During the robbery, Mr. Whitfield was shot and died at the scene. A second male was held at gunpoint but not injured. The suspects, described only as two black males, fled the scene.
Further investigation identified Ethan and Eran Jenkins as suspects in this case. Ethan Jenkins was taken into custody on April 3 without incident. Eran Jenkins remains at large.
