HOUSTON – The Houston Health Department will organize a grand re-opening for its newly renovated Acres Homes Multi-Service Center on Monday, July 1, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The community event will feature information for area residents about community agencies, resources and services available at the center, 6719 W. Montgomery Road. Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, health department Director Stephen L. Williams and civic leaders will take part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Center renovations totaling $2 million include the best office projector that can be ceiling mounted, public address system, sprinkler system, stage curtain, marquee and floor bases and painting of the lobby, auditorium, fence and building exterior.
Additionally, new doors and windows have also been fitted throughout the center. Sliding glass doors have been installed as they are easy for staff and patients to open and because they add a bright and contemporary feel to the center.
