Citywide fairs will connect Harvey victims to recovery resources
HOUSTON – The City of Houston Neighborhood Restoration Centers and community partners announce a series of Harvey Recovery Fairs designed to connect people impacted by Hurricane Harvey to recovery services and resources.
The fairs will be staffed by case managers who will meet with clients to help them prepare a recovery plan and refer them to agencies that can provide the services and resources they need to get on track toward recovery.
Numerous partnering agencies will be present to inform residents about a wide range of services for which they may be eligible and provide assistance with the application process.
Services offered by the participating agencies include help with basic needs and supplies, legal and financial advice, employment programs, mental health care, flood damage repair assistance, and referrals to resources for people with disabilities.
Each fair will be staffed by a different group of partnering agencies and, therefore, services may vary event to event.
