ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Fire Chief Thomas Muñoz will be joined by members of HFD’s Marine Unit to share critical safety tips related to:
• Fireworks use ahead of the Fourth of July
• Safe grilling practices
• Swimming and water rescue precautions
• Heat-related illness prevention
“Our mission is to protect life and property year-round, and summer presents a unique set of risks—from backyard BBQs to water activities and dangerously high temperatures,” said Chief Muñoz. “This press conference is an opportunity to help families enjoy the season safely.”
Photo and video opportunities will be available, including demonstrations with an HFD Rescue Boat and remarks from HFD leadership.
