Mayor Sylvester Turner suspends water service disconnections to help protect community from COVID-19

Today, Mayor Sylvester Turner issued an Executive Order to suspend water service disconnections throughout the City of Houston beginning today through April 30, 2020.

The City of Houston takes the health and safety of our community very seriously. As we continue our efforts to stop the spread of the COVID-19, it is important that everyone in Houston have access to clean water.

Water bills will still need to be paid on time to avoid late fees, even though water service disconnections will be temporarily suspended. Water bill payments can be made online, through the automated phone system at 713.371.1265, or with a customer service representative at 713.371.1400.
