Mayor Sylvester Turner Places High Priority on Resources for the Houston Fire Department

Mayor Sylvester Turner today restated his commitment to providing the Houston Fire Department with resources including new vehicles.

“When I came into office, we were facing an aging fleet. Since 2016, we have been on an aggressive schedule to replace HFD vehicles,” Mayor Turner said.

Below is the breakdown of purchases to date, representing more than 1/3 of the Houston Fire Department fleet:
