Male, Stolen Vehicle Sought in Fatal Shooting at 1713 West T.C. Jester Boulevard

Houston police are asking for the public’s help in locating a male and a vehicle stolen or taken following the fatal shooting of a man found at 1713 West T.C. Jester Boulevard about 8:30 a.m. last Friday (January 27).

The vehicle is a 2022 white Dodge Ram pickup truck with Oregon license plates 915NLP.  Photos of the stolen vehicle are attached to this news release.

Additionally, the homeowner, identified as James Gerald Martin III, 37, has not been located.  Detectives are seeking information on his whereabouts.  Photos of Martin, who is not charged in this incident, are also attached to this news release.

The identity of the deceased male, 35, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts and Detective L. Lange reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a welfare check call at the residence at the above address and found a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the man deceased.

A preliminary investigation determined the incident likely occurred about 3:30 p.m. the previous day (Thursday, January 26).  It was also determined the pickup truck was stolen/taken after the shooting.
