HPD patrol officers responded to the above address regarding an assault call and were told HFD paramedics were initially treating a male with lacerations to his arm when they found an unresponsive female inside the apartment. Both victims were transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where the woman was pronounced deceased. The male was treated for his wounds and later released.
A preliminary investigation determined the woman possibly overdosed on chemicals. The male witness stated he injured his arm when he broke a window to the apartment front door to gain entry and then called HFD.
