Houston police are investigating the stabbing of a man that occurred at 8405 Broadway about 5:45 p.m. on Saturday (April 6).
The victim, Kendrick Taylor, 30, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives M. Althaus and Z. Brumley reported:
Mr. Taylor was sitting at a METRO bus stop awaiting a bus when the male suspect began running toward him with a knife in his hand. A nearby witness warned Taylor to move when the suspect began swinging the knife. Taylor attempted to back away from the suspect, who then cut him as the two struggled.
The suspect, described only as a Hispanic male in his 20s to 30s, then fled the scene.
