Houston police are investigating the stabbing of a male assault suspect at 9005 Airport Boulevard about 3:20 p.m. on Sunday (July 26).
The suspect, 41, was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer L. Bolmanski reported:
A male (suspect) went to a motel at the above address to confront a man, 29, and a woman, 20, for an unknown reason. When the male resident opened the door, the suspect forced his way inside and struck him in the face. At some point during the altercation, the suspect was stabbed once in the chest. The suspect was then driven by private vehicle to 1110 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45), where an ambulance was called after the suspect lost consciousness. At this time, it has not been determined who stabbed the suspect.
The motel room residents were detained for questioning, but were released without charges.
The investigation is continuing.
