| Houston police are investigating the stabbing of a man at 724 Greens Road about 12:20 p.m. on Saturday (September 4).
The victim, Leedward Maxey, 31, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers H. Martinez and L. Castellanos reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to an assault in a store at the above address and found Mr. Maxey was inside the store when the suspect entered with a machete and struck Maxey several times. Maxey managed to run away from the suspect to get help. Paramedics transported Maxey to the hospital.
The suspect, described only as a black male, fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.
