Houston police are investigating the stabbing of a man that occurred at 6061 Beverly Hill Street about 11 a.m. on Sunday (March 1).
The victim, Moza Abu Jarad, 28, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective L. Bolmanski reported:
A male suspect, 23, was taking his trash to an apartment dumpster when he says Mr. Jarad called him an ethnic slur. The two men began arguing and Jarad punched the suspect, who fought back. Jarad continued to punch the suspect, while pushing him against a second floor railing of the apartment complex.
The suspect then produced a screw driver and stabbed Jarad multiple times in an effort to stop the assault.
Following the stabbing, the suspect went to a nearby fast food restaurant and called police.
Currently, there are no charges in this incident, pending further investigation.
