Houston police are investigating the stabbing of two men at 4255 South Kirkwood Road about 11:50 p.m. last Friday (May 7).
The victims, Carlos Cruz, 41, and Renis Benitez, 45, were transported to an area hospital.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Sergeant W. Reyes and Detectives V. Habukiha and F. Lee, Jr. reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a stabbing call at a convenience store at the above address. Upon arrival, they found one victim (Benitez) lying in the parking lot suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition with stab wounds to the leg and torso. The second victim (Cruz) drove himself to his Harris County home from which he was transported to the hospital. He had suffered a stab wound to the arm.
At this time, there is no known suspect(s).
