Houston police are investigating the stabbing of a man that occurred at 2600 Wheeler at 3 p.m. on Monday (Dec. 24).
The victim, Mark Bucanan , 43, was transported to an area hospital in stable but critical condition.
HPD Family Violence & Major Assaults Division Detectives L. Bolmanski and K. Salsberry reported:
Officers responded to a report of an assault at the above address and found Mr. Bucanan had been stabbed multiple times. Bucanan stated he attempted to intervene between in a fight between his friend and the suspect and was stabbed. The suspect then fled the scene.
