Houston police are investigating the stabbing of a man and a woman at 14155 Fayridge Drive #217 about 11:25 a.m. on Thursday (May 6).
Both the man, 29, and woman, 33, were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening wounds.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer K. Yeamans reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to an apartment at the above address and learned both the husband and wife had been stabbed. According to the woman, she and her husband got into a physical altercation over money. The woman told investigators that when her husband stated he was packing his car and trying to leave, she grabbed a knife and slashed his tires. The two then wrestled over the knife, before she ran inside, still holding the knife.
The husband then grabbed a second knife and the two began fighting. During the fight both individuals were stabbed. According to the woman, her husband then put both knives down and began punching her. She ran outside to call police and her husband followed her outside, where he then collapsed.
There are no charges in this incident, pending an interview with the husband and further investigation.
