Houston police are investigating the stabbing of a man at 1401 Redford Street about 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday (September 8).
The victim, David Diaz, 31, was transported to an area hospital in an unknown condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer T. Youll reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a stabbing at the above address and found Mr. Diaz lying in a grassy area across from his apartment. He had suffered multiple stab wounds to his back. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Diaz to the hospital.
According to witnesses, Diaz and a male suspect got into an argument which resulted in Diaz being stabbed. The suspect then fled the scene northbound on the Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) service road in a white pickup truck.
