| Houston police are investigating the stabbing of a man at 10601 South Drive about 2:30 a.m. on Sunday (September 27).
The victim, Jose Ocampo, 31, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives A. Hernandez and C. Bowling reported:
Mr. Ocampo was asleep in an apartment bedroom when he heard his girlfriend screaming. Ocampo went out of the bedroom to find his girlfriend letting three to four males into the apartment, one of whom was identified as her ex-boyfriend. The ex-boyfriend, armed with a machete, began assaulting Ocampo. Ocampo managed to get the machete away from the suspect and all the suspects and the girlfriend fled the scene. Paramedics transported Ocampo to the hospital.
