Houston police are investigating the shooting of two men that occurred at 9700 Braeburn Glen Boulevard about 11:20 p.m. on Wednesday (Dec. 18).
Both victims were transported to Ben Taub General Hospital. The first, Carl Simmons, 30, is in critical condition. The second, Jordan Hernadez, 18, is in stable condition.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Daignault and Senior Police Officers M. Arrington, S. Spivey and R. Pemberton reported:
Mr. Hernandez was walking back to his apartment from the corner store in the 9700 block of Braeburn Glen Blvd when he was struck in the shoulder by gunfire. Upon further investigation, it was discovered Mr. Simmons had sustained a gunshot wound to the head at the same location. Both victims were transported to Ben Taub General Hospital. At this time there is no known suspect(s) or motive.
