Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man that occurred at 600 Cimarron Street about 8:40 p.m. on Tuesday (November 30).
The victim, Luis Angel Guevara, 41, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers J. Cimeni, C. Johnson and I. Rios-Hernandez reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and were advised that Mr. Guevara had been riding his bicycle southbound on Cimarron Street near Indianapolis Street. At some point, an unknown vehicle drove past Guevara and a suspect inside the vehicle began firing shots at him. Guevara was struck in the abdomen and left knee. He managed to run down the street and knock on the door of a residence to get help. The resident called 9-1-1 and Guevara was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The suspect(s) fled in an unknown direction.
