Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 9600 Aldine Westfield Road about 10:50 p.m. on Monday (Dec. 2).
The victim, Jerome Ratcliff, 34, sustained a gunshot wound to the face and was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers G. Black and L. Kauffman reported:
Patrol officers responded to a shooting call at 9501 Jenson Drive where they found Mr. Ratcliff with a gunshot wound. Officers learned Ratcliff was in a vehicle at 9600 Aldine Westfield when another vehicle pulled up next to him. A suspect(s) in the other vehicle started firing shots at Ratcliff and then fled the scene.
There was another unidentified male with Ratcliff at the time of the shooting, but the male left before officers arrived. Detectives would like to speak with that male.
