Houston police are investigating the shooting of a woman at 8935 Cullen Boulevard about 5:45 p.m. on Thursday (May 21).
The victim, Tabitha James, 38, sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division investigators reported:
Ms. James stated she and her boyfriend (suspect) got into a verbal argument, which escalated into a physical altercation in the parking lot of a business at the above address. When James attempted to walk away, she stated the suspect shot her one time in the leg and then fled the scene. Paramedics transported James to the hospital for treatment.
The investigation is continuing into the boyfriend’s whereabouts. No charges have been filed at this time.
