Houston police are investigating the shooting of a male that occurred at 8234 Hall View Drive about 9:15 a.m. on Friday (November 8).
The male was transported to an area hospital in critical but stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective J. Hasley reported:
The day prior to the shooting (Thursday, November 7), the male is said to have confronted his estranged wife in the parking lot of a southwest Houston restaurant where he pointed a pistol at her and threatened her life. A report was made with HPD regarding the incident. The next day (Friday, November 8), the male drove to his wife’s home and again confronted her. The male allegedly punched his wife in the face whereupon the female, in fear of her life, shot the male one time, striking him in the shoulder. Houston Fire Department paramedics then transported him to an area hospital. A loaded pistol and narcotics were recovered from the male’s vehicle.
No charges have been filed at this time against either person involved, as the investigation is continuing.
Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division at 713-308-8800 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
