| Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 6900 Wileyvale Road about 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday (September 22).
The victim, 17, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives R. Cook and M. Combs reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a park at the above address (near Bennington Street) and learned from several witnesses that the victim and a male suspect got into a verbal altercation. The suspect then shot the victim multiple times in the abdomen as he walked away. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to the hospital.
The suspect, described only as a Hispanic male, 17, then fled the scene in an unknown direction.
