Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 6873 South Gessner Road about 4:55 p.m. on Monday (Nov. 30).
The victim, Orlando Hernandez, 29, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer K. Saulsberry reported:
Mr. Hernandez and two other men were hanging out in front of the business at the above address when Hernandez and one of the men (suspect) began arguing. The altercation escalated when the suspect retrieved a gun from a vehicle and then shot Hernandez one time in the jaw. The suspect, described only as a black male, and other man (witness) then fled the scene in the witness’ vehicle.
Another man came to Hernandez’s aid and drove him to an area hospital.
