| Huston police are investigating the shooting of a juvenile male at 6767 Bennington Street about 11:35 a.m. on Sunday (July 4).
The victim, 15, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective D. Garner reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and learned the victim had been shot in the upper right leg.
A preliminary investigation indicated the victim was accidentally shot by a known friend while playing with a firearm. The investigation is continuing.
