Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 6300 Allegheny Street that occurred about 9:30 p.m. on Sunday (September 19).
The victim, Kevin Graves, 48, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers D. Crandell and G. Black reported:
Officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found Mr. Graves in his vehicle. He had suffered a gunshot wound to the head. It is believed there may have been a verbal altercation between two or more other individuals that led to the shooting. Just after the individuals exchanged words, a male suspect began shooting several rounds down the street. One of the bullets went through the back window of Graves’ SUV.
The suspect, described only as a black male, fled the scene in a four-door, silver sedan.
