| Houston police are investigating the shooting of a woman that occurred at 6215 Tierwester Street about 11 p.m. on Monday (October 19).
The victim, Diamond Wiley, 19, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers A. Ferrell and J. Roberts reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found Ms. Wiley had been transported by private vehicle to the hospital. Investigators later learned there was a disturbance between a male and a female and when Wiley stepped between them to break it up, a gun went off. Wiley was struck twice in the upper chest.
