| Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man found at 5476 South Sam Houston Parkway West about 11 p.m. on Wednesday (April 29).
The victim, 41, was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening gunshot wounds.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Duncan and Detective M. Perez reported:
The victim was shot while traveling on the service road near the above address. A passing Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol trooper witnessed his vehicle veer off the service road and stopped to render aid. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene, removed the victim from the vehicle, and transported him to the hospital.
There were no other persons inside the vehicle.
At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
