Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 5435 Osprey that occurred about 8:35 p.m. on Saturday (January 30).
The victim, Germaine Eugene Sanders, 27, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer P. Francis reported:
Officers responded to a report of a victim with multiple gunshot wounds in the 9400 block of Cullen. Upon arrival, Mr. Sanders stated he was at a residence at the above address when he was struck by gunfire.
Officers went to the residence on Osprey and spoke with a male resident. The resident stated Sanders, with whom he had a prior dating relationship, came to his home and began causing a disturbance and destroying property. The resident then stated Sanders ran to a white car and began driving away. As Sanders was fleeing, the resident stated he heard gunshots and took cover to avoid being struck. The resident stated he did not see who was shooting at Sanders.
Sanders later admitted he did throw a rock through a vehicle’s rear window at the residence.
There are no charges in this incident, as the investigation is continuing.
