Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 4410 Sherwood Lane about 11:30 a.m. on Saturday (November 6).
The victim, Orlando Vasquez, 40, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives A. Don and L. Hicks reported: HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and were told by witnesses that Mr. Vasquez was shot while inside his apartment bedroom. Witnesses also reported the suspect left the apartment with a gun in his hand. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Vasquez to the hospital. The suspect, described only as a white male, about 20 years old, is believed to have fled in a silver Dodge Ram pickup truck.
